The competition is being held at the Wushu Hall of the General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports. Athletes from more than 50 clubs across the capital are participating in multiple age categories, including children, juniors, youth, and adults, competing in weight divisions ranging from 22 kilograms to over 100 kilograms.
Organisers say the two-day event aims to provide athletes with competitive experience and identify talented performers for future provincial and national-level participation.
Wushu remains one of Afghanistan’s fastest-growing martial arts, with regular citywide tournaments providing a pathway for young competitors to gain exposure and develop their skills under structured and supervised conditions.
