The Nimroz Futsal Premier League officially began in Zaranj with the participation of eight teams, organized by the Nimroz Football Federation in cooperation with the provincial Directorate of Physical Education and Sports.

The league will run for two months, with teams playing regular matches aimed at giving local players consistent competition and the opportunity to earn selection for higher-level tournaments.

The opening match of the competition saw Bakwah Atalan face Wasal, with Bakwah Atalan securing a 2–1 victory to record the first win of the league.

Officials said the tournament provides a structured platform for teams in the province to compete regularly and raise the overall standard of futsal.

Provincial futsal leagues play an important role in Afghanistan’s football structure, offering match experience to local players and helping federations identify teams and talent for zonal competitions. The Nimroz Futsal Premier League continues this process by bringing organized, competitive futsal to the provincial level.
