Three-day table tennis and wushu competitions in Kabul bring together more than 170 athletes across multiple age groups and disciplines.

The fourteenth edition of the table tennis competitions and the first edition of the wushu competitions concluded in Kabul after three days of action, organized by the Afghan Red Crescent Society in cooperation with the General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports.

A total of 70 athletes from institutions, organizations, and educational centers across Kabul took part in the table tennis tournament, competing in youth, senior, and doubles categories. By the end of the event, 12 players emerged as champions after a series of competitive matches.

The wushu competition brought together 100 athletes in youth and senior divisions, competing in weight categories from 52kg to 80kg. Sixteen fighters claimed championship titles after progressing through the final rounds.

Athletes from the deaf and para-sports communities also took part in the competitions, adding to the inclusive character of the event. The closing ceremony featured demonstration performances by teams from gymnastics, parkour, wushu, and table tennis.

Officials from the General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education and Sports, representatives of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, and leaders of the national table tennis and wushu federations attended the closing ceremony. Organizers said the competitions were held to encourage youth participation in sport and promote social cooperation, with awards and gifts presented to top-performing athletes.
