The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced the appointment of two new coaches to the national men’s team, strengthening the technical and physical preparation staff ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
According to the board, Tabby Redford has been hired as the team’s batting coach, while Robert Ahmen will take up the role of capacity-building and physical conditioning coach.
Both coaches are expected to join the Afghanistan squad before the start of the T20 international series against the West Indies, as part of the team’s preparations for forthcoming competitions.
Officials said the appointments are aimed at improving individual batting performance, overall fitness levels and long-term player development as Afghanistan continues to compete regularly at the highest level of international cricket.
Afghanistan has increasingly focused on expanding its coaching structure in recent years, bringing in specialist staff to support the national team’s growth and maintain competitiveness across formats.
