The FIFA Museum is marking its 10th anniversary with a programme that blends physical exhibition, digital storytelling, and public engagement, reflecting the institution’s growing role in shaping how football history is curated and consumed globally.
Central to the celebrations is the launch of the digital exhibition “The Magic 10: Legends of the Beautiful Game”, which explores the cultural significance of football’s iconic number 10 shirt through the careers of legendary players. The first chapter focuses on Pelé, presenting key moments from his career alongside selected items from the FIFA Museum collection.
The museum will also open its doors free of charge to the public in Zurich on 20 May 2026. The open day will include access to a new interactive exhibition, “World Cup Fever: Skills Zone”, featuring football challenges and appearances from former Italy international Christian Vieri and Switzerland international Nadine Riesen.
Over the past decade, the FIFA Museum has expanded beyond its Zurich base, developing exhibitions and activations linked to FIFA tournaments and establishing a permanent presence in Miami through “Unidad – The World’s Game”. According to the institution, its exhibitions have reached audiences across multiple continents and attracted more than two million visitors globally.
The anniversary programme highlights a broader institutional shift toward combining physical exhibition spaces with digital platforms, allowing football heritage to be presented simultaneously as cultural memory and global media content.
