Plans are taking shape for Afghanistan’s first national U-17 Champions League, with early reports indicating the tournament will feature youth sides from clubs that competed in the 2025 Champions League.

If confirmed, the competition would mark the first structured Champions League format created specifically for the U-17 age group in the country, a step officials and club insiders say could help measure how consistently clubs invest in youth development.

No official start date has been announced. Organisers are reportedly considering a format played across two separate phases, similar to a two-half season structure, but the final schedule and regulations have yet to be released.
