Afghanistan’s under-19 national cricket team secured its third win in the tri-series after defeating India U19 A by 65 runs in a strong all-round performance.

Afghanistan set a target of 234 runs before delivering a clinical bowling display that dismissed the home side for 168. The Afghan bowlers dominated throughout the innings, with Salam Khan Ahmadzai, Abdul Aziz and Rohullah Arab each taking three wickets.

Team officials said the victory showed the growing maturity and consistency of the Afghan youth squad, which has already beaten India twice in the tournament.

Afghanistan will face India U19 A again in the series final scheduled for Sunday.

The tri-nation U19 series features Afghanistan, India A and India B. The Afghan youth program has produced several prominent national team players in recent years, and officials view the current squad as one of the most promising groups in the pathway toward senior international cricket.
