A traditional arm wrestling competition was held in the Miramor district of Daikundi province, bringing together 22 athletes in a one-day event organised by the Daikundi Department of Physical Education and Sports.
The competition was part of local and traditional sports activities aimed at encouraging community participation and preserving indigenous sporting practices.
At the conclusion of the event, Ne’matullah delivered the strongest overall performance, securing the championship title after collecting the highest number of points among all participants.
Local and traditional sports competitions play an important role in promoting physical activity at the community level in Afghanistan, offering young athletes opportunities to compete while keeping cultural sporting traditions alive.
