Army FC completed an unbeaten run to win the Kabul Premier League, securing promotion to Afghanistan’s top-tier competition.

The Kabul Premier League concluded at Ghazi Stadium after two months of competition, with Army FC emerging as champions following a dominant and unbeaten campaign.

Organised by the Kabul Football Federation in cooperation with the provincial Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, the tournament featured nine teams competing for the title. Army FC won all eight of their matches, finishing with a perfect record of 24 points to secure first place.

Sabaawon FC finished runners-up with 19 points, completing a strong season and joining Army FC in qualifying for the Afghanistan Premier League.

In the youth category, United Afghan claimed the championship, while Sra-e-Miasht secured second place. Both teams earned qualification for the Central Zone Youth Football Championship.

Officials said the tournament was held to identify top-performing senior teams for promotion to the national league, while also selecting outstanding youth teams for zonal competitions.

The Director General of Physical Education and Sports, Molvi Ahmadullah Wasiq, along with Technical and Professional Deputy Hafiz Ahmad Jan Zadran, football federation officials, and athletes, attended the closing ceremony. Trophies and awards were presented to the winning teams and standout players at the end of the event.
