The Ghor Province Autumn Football Cup officially commenced in Firozkoh on Sunday, October 12, 2025, with 12 teams competing over a period of two weeks.

The Autumn Football Cup of Ghor Province was inaugurated on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the “Tabiat” artificial turf ground in Firozkoh. The opening ceremony was attended by Haji Jan Mohammad Haidari, President of the Ghor Provincial Football Federation, along with local sports officials and players.
Twelve teams from across Firozkoh City are participating in the two-week tournament, organized jointly by the Department of Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports of Ghor Province and the Ghor Football Federation.
In the opening match, Shiran Safedkoh delivered an impressive performance, defeating Nabard Ghor in a high-scoring encounter by a score of 11–6.
Organizers said the competition aims to promote and expand football and futsal in the city, create a healthy sporting environment for youth, and identify emerging talent for future provincial and national representation.
Football has become an increasingly popular sport in Firozkoh, with local tournaments like the Autumn Cup providing a vital platform for young athletes. The event reflects ongoing efforts by provincial sports authorities to encourage community participation and nurture the next generation of footballers in Ghor Province.
