The “Solidarity Cup” football tournament began in Raghsak village of Murghab district, Ghor province, with eight teams competing to promote unity and youth engagement through sport.

The Autumn Football Cup, titled the “Solidarity Cup,” officially kicked off on October 21, 2025 (30 Mizan 1404) in Raghsak village of Murghab district, Ghor province. The event is organized by the Ghor Football Federation in coordination with the Provincial Directorate of Physical Education, Sports, and the Olympic Committee.

The opening match, played between the Sargardab and Nashahr teams, ended in a 3–3 draw, setting a competitive tone for the two-week tournament.

Organizers said the event aims to promote football, strengthen solidarity among youth, and encourage active community participation through sport.

Local football tournaments like the Autumn Cup play a key role in fostering youth engagement in Ghor province, where limited resources and infrastructure have not dampened enthusiasm for the game. The “Solidarity Cup” serves as both a celebration of community spirit and a platform for discovering new local talent.
