Baghlan: The Central Baghlan district hosted an exciting one day Kurash wrestling tournament on Friday, with the participation of 50 athletes from the district center and surrounding villages.

Organized by the district representative office of the Kurash Federation in collaboration with the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports of Baghlan province, the event aimed to promote the traditional wrestling sport and encourage young athletes.

By the end of the tournament, 25 athletes defeated their opponents and secured top positions, earning championship titles in their respective categories.

Officials emphasized that the main goal of the competition was to foster the growth and popularity of Kurash wrestling across the province. In recognition of their achievements, winning athletes were awarded prizes and gifts during the closing ceremony.
