The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Thursday announced a one-year extension of its commercial agreement with Etisalat, whose business division is expected to rebrand locally as E&.
The signing ceremony was held at the Dubai International Stadium media hall, with ACB Chief Executive Naseeb Khan signing on behalf of the board. Abdullah Al Jaziri, Chief Executive of E&, and Obaid Bokisha, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, attended alongside marketing and commercial representatives from both organisations and members of the media.
Under the new agreement, E& will retain the financial sponsorship rights for Afghanistan’s national teams across bilateral international series as well as matches played in competitions under the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The company will also hold general sponsorship rights for ACB’s domestic cricket tournaments during 2026.
ACB said the partnership builds on several years of cooperation, during which Etisalat remained a consistent supporter of Afghan cricket development. The board added that E& is expected to introduce additional advanced digital services in Afghanistan alongside its telecom operations.
E& currently holds the title sponsorship rights for the ongoing Afghanistan vs West Indies three-match T20I series, and the company is also expected to continue supporting ACB and the national team during future global events, including the next ICC Men’s T20 World Cup cycle.
