The 12th Daikundi Pankration Championship took place on Saturday, September 20 (29 Sunbula 1404), organized by the provincial branch of the Pankration Federation in cooperation with the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports.

More than 100 athletes from Kabul and local clubs competed in a single-fight knockout format. By the end of the day, 50 champions were crowned for their outstanding performance.

Organizers highlighted that the event aimed to develop martial arts, encourage youth participation in sports, and identify promising talents. Top performers were awarded gifts and recognition during the closing ceremony.

Pankration, a martial art combining boxing and wrestling, has deep historical roots and is gaining popularity in Afghanistan. Daikundi has become a hub for martial arts events, promoting healthy lifestyles and sporting excellence among the youth.
