The Kunduz provincial football leagues concluded on Thursday, October 16, 2025 (24 Mizan 1404), in Imam Sahib district, marking the end of two months of matches involving 30 teams from across the province. The closing ceremony was attended by prominent members of the Kunduz Football Federation.

The competitions were held in three divisions, the Premier League, League A, and League B, with 10 teams competing in the top tier, 12 in League A, and 8 in League B. At the end of the tournament, Piroozi emerged as the Premier League champion, Jawanan-e Arslan won the League A title, and Moj-e Amo claimed the League B championship.

Organizers said the event aimed to identify talented young players, encourage youth participation in sports, and steer them away from drug addiction.

Football remains the most popular sport in northern Afghanistan, and Kunduz has long been a center for grassroots competitions that help develop young talent and promote social cohesion through sport.
