Reza Hosseinpour, a leading figure in Afghanistan’s national futsal team, has signed with Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, marking a significant step in his professional career.
Hosseinpour, who delivered a standout performance at the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026, scored four goals during the tournament and emerged as one of Afghanistan’s most influential players. His goal against Malaysia was later selected as the best goal of the competition, underscoring his technical precision and attacking impact.
The forward is expected to make his debut for Shabab Al Ahli in the UAE domestic cup competition. His move comes after years of consistent service with the Afghan national team, where he has been regarded as a central attacking presence.
The transfer reflects the growing visibility of Afghan futsal players in regional competitions and highlights increasing pathways for professional opportunities beyond national borders.
