
A one-day K1-style martial arts event featuring 96 athletes was held in Samkani district, with 48 fighters securing wins across youth, junior, and senior categories.

The K1 tournament was organised by the Combat Sports Federation’s Paktia representative under the Provincial Directorate of Physical Education and Sports and hosted at the Mubarez Club in Samkani district. Fighters from multiple age divisions participated in the friendly competition, which aimed to promote the K1 discipline throughout the province.
The event concluded with 48 athletes earning victories over their opponents. At the closing ceremony, medals and certificates were awarded to the top performers by federation representatives and local sports officials.
K1 and other striking disciplines have grown rapidly in Paktia in recent years, with local clubs regularly hosting grassroots competitions to identify new talent and encourage youth participation in martial arts.
