Kunduz: A one day Free Style Wrestling Tournament brought together 70 athletes in Kunduz province, showcasing local talent and promoting sportsmanship in the region.
The event took place at the Spin Zar Sports Stadium and was organized by the Kunduz Provincial Office of the Sambo and Wrestling Federation, in coordination with the Department of Physical Education and Sports.

The competition saw intense matches, with 35 wrestlers emerging victorious after defeating their respective opponents. Participants competed across multiple bouts, demonstrating strength, skill, and endurance.

Officials stated that the tournament aimed not only to identify and encourage wrestling talent but also to promote physical fitness, discipline, and healthy recreation among the local community. Spectators, including sports enthusiasts and residents, attended the event, applauding the athletes’ performances and fostering a spirit of unity through sport.

Awards and prizes were presented to winners at the conclusion of the event, recognizing their achievements and contributions to the development of wrestling in Kunduz.
