A nine-member team of mountaineers from Ghazni, under the provincial representation of the Mountaineering Federation and in cooperation with the Department of Physical Education and Sports, carried out a full-day trek across the Zankhan mountain range. The group successfully reached the 3,015-meter summit as part of a scheduled training and endurance exercise.
Officials said the program aims to improve physical readiness, strengthen teamwork, and enhance the practical field experience of young mountaineers in the province.
Mountaineering programs in Ghazni have grown steadily in recent years, with regular provincial expeditions designed to build skills and promote safe outdoor sports activities among youth.
