Local competition in Zabul brought together 19 fighters across youth categories.

A one-day full-contact fighting event was held in Shajoy district of Zabul, with 19 athletes competing from two local clubs, officials from the province’s sports directorate said.
The Zabul Full Contact Federation organised the matches under the Provincial Directorate of Physical Education and Sports. They featured athletes from Ustad Abdul Shakoor’s club and Ustad Nader Khan’s club.
Competitions were staged in youth and junior age categories. At the end of the event, athletes from Ustad Nader Khan’s club secured first place.
Local-level combat sports events have become a key part of youth programmes in several provinces, offering structured competition and keeping young athletes engaged amid limited training facilities and few regular tournaments.
