Nangarhar: The tape ball cricket tournament in Khogyani district, Nangarhar, featuring 20 competing teams, concluded with the Hilal Atlan team claiming the championship. The event was jointly organized by the Nangarhar Directorate of Physical Education and Sports and the Arghach Rehabilitation and Services Society, in memory of the late national poet Matiullah Torab.

The final match saw Hilal Atlan face the Arghach team. After winning the toss, Arghach chose to bat first, setting a target of 137 runs in 10 overs, losing six wickets. Hilal Atlan successfully chased the target in the 7th over, winning by six wickets.

The month-long tournament aimed to promote sportsmanship, youth engagement, and local cricket development. As a reward for their victory, the champions received a motorcycle.
