The provincial K1 championship, titled the “Golden Belt,” was held on Friday in Nimroz province, drawing strong participation from athletes and combat-sports enthusiasts.

The event was attended by Qari Ahmad Shah Mubarez, Head of Physical Education and Sports in Nimroz, who praised the efforts of the athletes and organizers during the competition.

Jawad Afghan, the official K1 representative and head of the Afghan Champions Academy, said the tournament featured fighters from Herat, Helmand, Ghazni, and Zabul, adding that Nimroz delivered a well-organized host performance for a high-level provincial competition.

The “Golden Belt” championship is part of ongoing efforts to develop K1 and other combat sports at the provincial level, while also strengthening sporting ties and solidarity among athletes from different regions of Afghanistan.
