Takhār University became the center of wrestling action as 60 student-athletes competed in the province’s local wrestling championship.
Organized by the National and Local Games Directorate in collaboration with the Takhār Physical Education and Sports Department, the one-day event showcased skill, strength, and sportsmanship.
Among the participants, 30 wrestlers emerged victorious, claiming awards for their performances. “These competitions are not only about winning,” said a representative from the sports department. “They promote unity, discipline, and healthy competition among our youth.”
The event brought together students from across the university, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and mutual respect.
Officials emphasized that such tournaments play a vital role in fostering social cohesion while encouraging young athletes to pursue sports at higher levels.
