Afghanistan Cricket Board commends outgoing coach for historic achievements and professional leadership

Jonathan Trott’s tenure as head coach of the Afghanistan national cricket team has officially come to an end, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) confirmed on Thursday.

Trott, who assumed the role in July 2022, led the national side through a transformative period marked by significant international success and notable progress in team structure and performance consistency. During his time in charge, Afghanistan secured several historic victories and strengthened its position in global cricket competitions.

In a formal statement, the ACB expressed its appreciation for Trott’s “dedication, professionalism, and tireless efforts” in guiding the team. The board credited his leadership with contributing to both the technical development of the squad and the broader advancement of Afghan cricket.
