Ticket demand for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ has reached unprecedented levels, with more than 150 million ticket requests submitted so far during the ongoing Random Selection Draw phase, according to FIFA.
The figure represents the highest demand ever recorded in the history of the FIFA World Cup™, with requests coming from fans in more than 200 countries. FIFA confirmed that the tournament is currently oversubscribed by more than 30 times, based on verified individual credit card submissions linked to ticket applications.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the scale of demand reflects the global appeal of the tournament, describing the 2026 edition as the most inclusive World Cup to date. He noted that the response highlights football’s ability to unite fans worldwide.
The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be staged from 11 June to 19 July 2026 across 16 host cities in Canada, Mexico and the United States. The expanded tournament will feature 48 teams competing in 104 matches.
The Random Selection Draw ticketing phase remains open until 13 January 2026, with all applicants having an equal chance of success regardless of when they enter during the application window. FIFA also confirmed the introduction of a new Supporter Entry Tier, priced at USD 60 per ticket, aimed at making matches more accessible to fans.
Additional ticketing options, including Participating Member Association supporter tickets, hospitality packages, and travel packages, will be made available through FIFA’s official platforms in subsequent sales phases.
