The Balkh Premier Football League concluded on December 2, 2025, with Yaran-e-Noor securing the championship title in Mazar-e-Sharif.

Organized by the provincial representation of the Afghanistan Football Federation, in coordination with the Balkh Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, the competition brought together 12 teams from across the province.

Yaran-e-Noor topped the league table with 31 points, while Kud-e-Barq finished second with 28 points after a tightly contested season.

Officials said the league aimed to promote football development, encourage youth participation, and identify emerging talent within the province. The competition was held over a period of three months.

Balkh remains one of Afghanistan’s most active football provinces, consistently hosting league-format competitions and producing young talent for national events. Despite logistical and financial challenges across the country, provincial leagues such as this one play an important role in sustaining grassroots football and maintaining competitive pathways for athletes.
