KABUL, AFGHANISTAN — Toofan Herat ended Abu Muslim Farah’s four-match winning run on Wednesday as Kohi scored twice in a 2–0 victory at Afghanistan Football Federation Stadium.

Kohi put Toofan ahead in the 18th minute. Abu Muslim failed to equalise before the interval or during the second half, and Kohi added his second goal in stoppage time, according to Ariana News.

Abu Muslim began the match on 19 points, level with Omar Zawak and five behind Sorkh Poshan. The defeat leaves the defending champions on 19 points after nine matches, while Toofan rise from 10 to 13.

The Farah club had won its previous four league matches without conceding, beating Khurasan Faryab, Omar Zawak, Aino Mina and Arman FC. Those results produced 12 goals and carried Abu Muslim into second place before Wednesday’s loss.

Kohi has now scored two goals in each of Toofan’s last two matches. His earlier double came in a 3–0 win over Sarsabz Yashlar on October 4, giving him four goals across consecutive victories.

Wednesday’s fixture was the 42nd match of the sixth Afghanistan Champions League season. The ten-team, home-and-away format gives each club 18 matches, so both Toofan and Abu Muslim have reached the halfway point of their league schedules.
