KABUL, August 16, 2017 – 30 top officials and other employees of ACBboycotted with the Chairman and CEO called for resign.
ACB Media Manager, Development Manager, senior adviser for Chairman and27 other Staff boycotted with Chairman Atif Mashal and called to resign fromthe Post.
The boycotted team expressed to media that Chairman Atif Mashal is aconservative person and want to create his own group of people in board.
According to Aziz Gharwal ACB Media manager Mashal fired some toptechnical official and brought his own people who don’t know what cricket is?
Gharwal added further that Mashal is using ACB as his campaign officefor his own publicity and yet to work on Infrastructure plans which are mustneeded for ICC Full membership.
Meanwhile the 30-person delegation who boycotted with ACB expressedtheir concerns to ACB board members, yet to get their answer.
In the meantime, the team is willing to have a press conference and showtheir Evidence against ACBChairman and their irresponsible selection and Changes.
Aziz Gharwal told media that Chairman Mashal is behaving very badly withACB Staff (even he is warning the managers in official meeting that will firehim if not accept his thoughts.)
ACB Chairman and CEO both are busty with their tours and most of thetime they are abroad.
Chairman Atif Mashal told media today that they are is in Sri Lanka toattend the ICC meeting, but there are political problems and he is forced bytop government official to not fire some staff.
Mashal told VOA Radio in his interview that he will share his concernswith his team and added further that there is no place for these boycottedofficials in ACB.
In this first speech to media Atif Mashal added, “Sustainabledevelopment for cricket in Afghanistan will fulfill all the objectives that theGovernment of Afghanistan and ICC entrusted to ACB. I will be meetingprofessionals and cricket experts for improving cricket in Afghanistan, and Irequest all Afghan people and political leaders to help me and keep cricket asnonpolitical.”
But after 9 months of his work as ACB Chairman is yet to open aninternational ground for national players.
He was also highly criticized by social media when he contacted to havea bilateral series with Pakistan and after he cancel the series with anemotional statement published by ACB Official twitter and Facebook page.
