Mazar-i-Sharif: A one-day full contact kickboxing tournament was held in Mazar-i-Sharif under the supervision of the Balkh Provincial Martial Arts Federation, in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education and Sports.

The event brought together 50 athletes across youth, junior, and senior categories, competing for a spot on the provincial team.

The tournament was designed to identify and nurture the province’s top kickboxing talent, providing a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and dedication to the sport. Following a series of intense bouts, three standout competitors were selected to join the Balkh Provincial Full-Contact Kickboxing Team.

In addition to team selection, the event recognized the best performers with awards and prizes, highlighting excellence, sportsmanship, and commitment. Organizers emphasized that such competitions not only strengthen athletes’ skills but also promote healthy competition, youth engagement, and community involvement in sports.

The tournament reflects Balkh’s ongoing commitment to developing martial arts and providing structured opportunities for athletes to excel at the provincial and national levels.
