
The Pas Ruwyeh team won the one-day Buzkashi tournament in Yakawlang No. 1 District, defeating Omid Band-e Amir 5–3 in a closely contested match.

A Buzkashi tournament featuring 24 riders was held in Yakawlang No. 1 District, Bamyan Province, organized by the National Buzkashi Federation in cooperation with the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports of Bamyan.
In the final match, Pas Ruwyeh defeated Omid Band-e Amir by a score of 5–3, claiming the championship title. The one-day event aimed to promote traditional Buzkashi and encourage local participation in the sport.
Officials noted that the competition not only provided entertainment for the community but also served as a platform to identify talented riders and support the development of Buzkashi in the province.
Buzkashi, Afghanistan’s traditional horseback sport, remains a central part of cultural and sporting life, particularly in central provinces like Bamyan. Local tournaments such as this one help preserve the sport, cultivate new talent, and strengthen community engagement.
