Twelve teams competed in the local Sang-Sol tournament organized to promote Afghanistan’s traditional sports in Bamyan’s Waras district.

A local Sang-Sol competition was held in the Waras district of Bamyan, with participation from officials of the Provincial Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports Department, district authorities, community elders, and local youth.

The event, organized by the Waras district sports representative in cooperation with the Bamyan Sports Department, featured 12 teams. Team Tawana claimed first place, followed by Band Kosa in second and Shiran Koh Baba in third.

Sang-Sol is one of the Waras district’s traditional and cultural games. Organizers said the tournament aimed to preserve and promote indigenous sports alongside modern athletic disciplines among local athletes.
