Afghanistan’s national wheelchair basketball team lost 75–58 to Iraq in its third match at the 2025 Asian Championships in Bangkok, after earlier victories over New Zealand and India.

Afghanistan’s national wheelchair basketball team suffered a 58–75 defeat against Iraq in its third match of the 2025 Asian Championships on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Earlier in the tournament, Afghanistan had recorded two consecutive victories, defeating New Zealand 63–54 and India 93–26, before falling to Iraq in their third outing.

The Afghan team is scheduled to play its fourth match on Wednesday, November 12 (21 Aqrab), against an opponent from Group B, to be determined through a draw.

The 2025 Asian Wheelchair Basketball Championships kicked off on November 7 in Bangkok, Thailand, featuring 14 participating nations, and will continue until November 15.
