
A month-long volleyball competition featuring 30 teams ended in Momand Dara district, with the host side taking the title.

A volleyball tournament involving 30 teams concluded in Nangarhar’s Momand Dara district this week, with the host team claiming the championship after a month of competition, officials said.
The event was organized by the provincial branch of the Volleyball Federation in cooperation with the Directorate of Physical Education and Sport. Matches were held at the Hazarnaw field in Momand Dara, attracting teams from across the district.
In the final match, Momand Dara defeated the Hazarnaw Select Team in straight sets, recording a 3–0 victory to secure the title.
Organizers said the tournament aimed to expand community participation in sport and provide a competitive platform for local athletes. At the closing ceremony, officials awarded a motorcycle to the winning team.
