Pas-Roya defeated local rivals 3–1 to win a one-day friendly Buzkashi event held in Yakawlang district of Bamyan.

A friendly Buzkashi tournament featuring teams from Pas-Roya, Qawm-e Aaba, and Dega was held on Friday in Yakawlang district, bringing together players from both Yakawlang and Yakawlang 2. The event took place on the district field with the participation of district officials, representatives of the Bamyan Olympic Directorate, the provincial Department of Physical Education and Sports, the president of the Afghanistan Buzkashi Federation, community elders, and local spectators.

Teams competed in a series of short matches throughout the day, with Pas-Roya finishing ahead of their opponents with a 3–1 score to claim the top position. At the closing ceremony, district authorities and community elders presented cash prizes to the chapandazan and leading riders in recognition of their performances.

Buzkashi remains one of Afghanistan’s most tradition rich sports, drawing strong local interest in central provinces. Events like the Yakawlang tournament continue to support the sport’s visibility and offer opportunities for young riders to showcase their skills at the local level.
