A regional javelin event featuring athletes from four districts was held in Shah Joy, sports officials said.

A javelin competition involving 50 participants took place in the Shobar area of Shah Joy district, according to the Directorate of Physical Education and Sport and the local branch of the Javelin Federation. Athletes from Shah Joy, Jaghori, Arghandab, and Nawa districts took part in the one-day event.

Officials said competitors from Nawa district delivered the strongest performances and secured the overall victory. Organizers added that the tournament aimed to support traditional Afghan sports and expand participation across Zabul province.
