The winners of The Best FIFA Football Awards™ 2025 will be announced on Tuesday, 16 December, during a gala dinner in Doha, Qatar, according to an official FIFA press release received by ASJFNews.
The ceremony will take place at the Fairmont Katara Hall and will be broadcast live and free on FIFA.com from 20:00 local time (18:00 CET), on the eve of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2025™ final. The event will honor the world’s best players, coaches, and contributors across multiple men’s and women’s categories.
Fans have played a central role in the selection process, casting more than 16 million votes worldwide. The main awards were decided through an equally weighted voting system involving fans, national team captains and coaches, presidents of national football federations, and accredited media representatives.
Afghanistan was represented in the official journalists’ voting panel by Sayer Zaland, who has taken part in FIFA’s voting process for The Best Awards for the past seven consecutive years, contributing alongside coaches, captains, and football officials from around the world.
The gala is expected to welcome around 800 guests, including the FIFA President, FIFA Council members, FIFA Legends, member association representatives, and leading figures from global football.
Additional honors, including the FIFA Marta Award, FIFA Puskás Award, FIFA Fan Award, and FIFA Fair Play Award, were determined through a combination of fan voting and expert panels. The full ceremony will be broadcast live on FIFA.com, with a free international feed available to broadcasters worldwide.
