Badakhshan and Sar-e Pol secured convincing semi-final victories to book their places in the final of the 7th Yama Petrol Afghanistan Buzkashi League.

Badakhshan and Sar-e Pol have qualified for the final of the 7th Yama Petrol Afghanistan Buzkashi League after registering decisive wins in the semi-final stage at Yakatoot Stadium in Kabul.

In the first semi-final, the Badakhshan team defeated Baghlan 3–1, producing a controlled performance to advance to the title match.

Sar-e Pol followed with a dominant display in the second semi-final, overpowering Kunduz 9–2 as their riders delivered a standout performance to secure the remaining spot in the final.

The championship match of the 7th edition of the Yama Petrol Buzkashi League will be held tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., with Badakhshan facing Sar-e Pol to determine the season’s champion.

The 7th Yama Petrol Afghanistan Buzkashi League began ten days ago with the participation of 11 teams from Kunduz, Faryab, Balkh, Badakhshan, Takhar, Bamyan, Sar-e Pol, Panjshir, Samangan, Baghlan and Herat. The competition is organised by the National Federation of Buzkashi, Spear Throwing and Traditional Sports in cooperation with the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, and includes the participation of foreign riders.
