A five-day capacity-building training camp for canoe coaches and athletes concluded in Kabul, organized by the National Canoe Federation under the Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education and Sports, with technical support from the Asian Confederation.
The camp involved 15 Afghan coaches and athletes and focused on updated international rules and regulations of the canoe discipline. Sessions were conducted by Dr Ali Jamshidi, a member of the International Canoe Federation’s Coaching Committee.
The training program was aimed at enhancing technical knowledge and coaching standards in canoeing across the country. The National Canoe Federation has previously held similar training seminars for coaches in five provinces as part of its ongoing development efforts.
