
The Director General of Physical Education and Sports met representatives of multiple sports federations in Nangarhar to review achievements and discuss ongoing challenges.

The Director General of Physical Education and Sports, Molvi Ahmadullah Wasiq, met with representatives of various sports federations in Nangarhar province during an official visit aimed at strengthening coordination between the centre and provincial bodies.
The delegation accompanying Wasiq included the Technical and Professional Deputy, Hafiz Ahmad Jan Zadran, Head of Olympic Affairs Dad Mohammad Payenda Akhtari, and Bodybuilding Federation President Bawar Hotak.
During the meeting, representatives from different provincial sports federations outlined their recent achievements, highlighted existing challenges, and shared proposals for the further development of sport in Nangarhar.
Speaking at the gathering, Wasiq praised the efforts of local sports officials and athletes, acknowledging their role in promoting sport under difficult conditions. He said the sports administration remains committed to improving cooperation between Kabul and the provinces and to facilitating better access to resources and opportunities.
“We understand your challenges and will work, within our capacity, to address them and find solutions,” Wasiq told federation representatives.
Officials described the meeting as a constructive step toward improving communication and ensuring that provincial sports structures remain actively supported at the national level.
