The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has launched a specialised training camp for fast and spin bowlers in Kandahar as part of its ongoing capacity-building programme.

The camp began on December 31 and will continue until January 21, 2026, bringing together selected bowlers for focused technical and physical development under the supervision of qualified coaches.

During the programme, coaches are working closely with players on physical fitness, ball control and, in particular, correcting technical shortcomings in bowling actions. Different training methods and drills are being applied to strengthen individual abilities and improve overall performance.

A total of 18 fast and spin bowlers were selected for the camp by the ACB selection committee to prepare a stronger pool of bowlers for future competitions.

At the conclusion of the camp, individual development plans will be drawn up for each player to ensure structured and effective training continues beyond the programme.
