A group of Afghanistan national team players departed for the United Arab Emirates on Monday as part of the team’s preparations for the upcoming Twenty20 International series against the West Indies.

The players will begin a centralized training camp one day after arriving in the UAE, with the full squad expected to assemble for an intensive week-long program aimed at final match readiness.

Afghanistan is scheduled to face the West Indies in the opening T20I of the series on January 19, with the camp focusing on tactical planning, fitness, and team cohesion ahead of the contest.

The UAE has frequently served as a preparation base for Afghanistan, providing familiar conditions as the team continues its international commitments in the shortest format of the game.
