With this membership, Afghan athletes have become part of the international community of street sports and will now be eligible to participate in competitions organized by the global body.
Officials involved in the development of street sports in Afghanistan say the membership represents an important opportunity to introduce the country’s street sports culture on the international stage.
The membership was secured through the efforts of Salman Soltani, the founder and head of Afghanistan’s street sports initiative. He has also been appointed as the ambassador of the organization in Afghanistan.
The World Cardo Street Sports Organization is an international body working to promote, regulate and expand street sports worldwide. The organization focuses on creating opportunities for youth, organizing international competitions and strengthening cooperation among street sports athletes across different countries.
Its broader goal is to support the formal recognition and structured development of street sports at the global level.
