Focus on Infrastructure and Domestic Development as Players Review Camp Conditions

National cricketers held a meeting with the leadership of the Afghanistan Cricket Board in Kabul, where discussions centered on the ongoing training camp and the conditions provided for players during preparations.
During the meeting, players shared feedback on the current camp, expressing satisfaction with the facilities and arrangements, and noting that the setup reflects standards comparable to those typically provided in overseas training environments.
The players also called for the expansion of similar camps within Afghanistan, emphasizing the importance of sustained domestic preparation structures to support long-term performance development.
In response, the Cricket Board leadership praised the efforts of coaches and staff, reaffirmed its commitment to improving player facilities, and outlined ongoing infrastructure and construction projects aimed at strengthening the domestic cricket system. Officials stated that these initiatives are intended to further expand and professionalize cricket development within the country.
Afghanistan’s cricket ecosystem has increasingly relied on centralized camps and institutional investment in infrastructure as key mechanisms for maintaining competitiveness, particularly in the absence of consistent international exposure and fully developed domestic systems.
