Questions continue to surround the comeback prospects of golf legend Tiger Woods as he works his way back from another major injury setback.

Optimism grew in late 2025 when Woods was seen walking comfortably while watching his son, Charlie Woods, compete at the Florida High School State Golf Championship. The appearance fueled hopes that the 15-time major champion could soon return to tournament golf.

However, Woods’ recovery remains complex following lumbar disc replacement surgery in October 2025. While reports suggest the 50-year-old still possesses elite-level swing speed, concerns remain over his ability to withstand the physical demands of walking multiple rounds in professional competition.

Former PGA Tour player and close friend Notah Begay III recently revealed that Woods continues to generate tour-level ball speeds but described endurance and mobility as the biggest obstacles to a full comeback.

Woods has faced a series of injuries throughout his career, including the serious car accident in 2021 that left him with severe leg injuries and required extensive rehabilitation.

With eligibility for the PGA Tour Champions now available following his 50th birthday, Woods has additional options as he evaluates his competitive future.

No timetable has been announced for his return, though fans and analysts continue to watch for signs that one of golf’s greatest players could make another comeback.

Tiger Woods is widely regarded as one of the greatest golfers in history, with 82 PGA Tour victories and 15 major championships. His remarkable return to win the 2019 Masters remains one of the most celebrated comeback stories in modern sport.
