Gulabuddin Khpalwak has been appointed acting president of the Afghanistan Snooker and Billiards Federation by a majority vote of the federation’s General Assembly. The decision follows the recent death of the federation’s former president, Asghari.

The General Assembly of the Afghanistan Snooker and Billiards Federation was held with the participation of provincial representatives, medalists, members of the leadership board and representatives of the federation’s zones.

Following a vote, assembly members elected Gulabuddin Khpalwak, the federation’s technical deputy, as acting president by a majority.

Khpalwak will oversee the federation’s affairs following the death of former president Asghari.


The Afghanistan Snooker and Billiards Federation oversees the development and organization of snooker and billiards activities in the country. The General Assembly brings together representatives from provinces and other sections of the federation.
