The 10th Northern and Northeastern Zone Kickboxing Championship concluded in Kunduz after two days of competition involving around 130 athletes.
The event, held on Sept. 27 and 28, brought together athletes from the northern and northeastern zones, the central region and several other provinces.
Competitors took part in individual fights in the low-kick and full-contact disciplines, competing for championship titles and individual points.
Kunduz secured first place in the overall standings, while Balkh finished second and Takhar took third.
Medals, cups and championship belts were awarded to leading athletes, while championship certificates and certificates of appreciation were also presented to participants.
Organizers said the competition aimed to develop kickboxing, identify talented athletes and select leading competitors from the participating provinces.
The championship was the 10th edition of the event and formed part of efforts to organize regular kickboxing competitions and identify emerging athletes across Afghanistan.
