The one-day competition was held in Qizil Gardab village and involved 35 pairs of athletes, the Afghanistan General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports said on Wednesday.
Organisers recorded winners in 30 contests, while five bouts ended level. The official announcement did not list the competitors, their districts or any weight classifications.
Local residents awarded cash prizes to the winners, according to the directorate. No figures were provided for the prize money.
The event was coordinated with Jowzjan’s physical education and sports administration. Its community format differs from federation championships that usually publish formal divisions, brackets and rankings.
