The series will open on Sept. 13, with the second and third matches scheduled for Sept. 15 and 17, the International Cricket Council said.
Bumrah’s availability remains dependent on a fitness assessment after the fast bowler missed India’s third one-day international against England and the subsequent Test tour of Sri Lanka.
Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar were also selected subject to fitness clearance. India retained much of the group used on recent tours of Ireland and England.
The batting options include Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma. Axar Patel, Varun Chakaravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi provide India with several spin choices.
Afghanistan had already announced its squad. India enter the series after losing recent T20I series in Ireland and England, while the Delhi matches give Afghanistan three fixtures against the reigning T20 world champions.
