Ghazni won the second South-West Zone boxing championship following three days of competition involving 50 athletes from seven Afghan provinces.
The provincial Boxing Federation’s representative office organised the tournament in cooperation with the Ghazni Physical Education and Sports Directorate.
Leading boxers from Maidan Wardak, Logar, Bamyan, Paktia, Paktika, Khost and host province Ghazni participated.
The athletes competed in youth and adult divisions during the three-day championship.
Ghazni secured first place in the final team standings, while Maidan Wardak finished second.
The official announcement did not provide individual results, weight divisions or medal totals.
