Laghman won the Brotherhood Cup series against Nuristan after their commanding victory in the opening two-day match proved decisive in the two-match contest.
The hosts defeated Nuristan by an innings and 10 runs in the first match, establishing a series lead before the second two-day fixture ended in a draw.
With Nuristan unable to level the contest, Laghman completed the series as winners.
The matches were organised under the annual plans of the Laghman and Nuristan provincial cricket administrations as part of the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s domestic cricket structure.
Beyond the final result, the series provided players from the two provinces with multi-day cricket — a format that requires teams to build innings, bowl for longer periods and compete across more than a single day.
Laghman’s first-match victory ultimately separated the two sides, turning one decisive performance into the result that settled the Brotherhood Cup.
